Available in three sizes-small medium and large each door has two rubber outer flaps and an insulated middle flap which improves heat loss and helps to save money on the heating bills. Although a bit heavier than normal most dogs seem to easily adapt to the insulated version without too many issues. These flaps need to be adjusted to ensure a snug fit and at the end of summer each year we recommend fine tunning the flaps back into the perfect position ready for winter.

With rising energy costs these doors make a lot of sense a single flap door has very little insulation. These doors also have an internal slide-in panel although designed to help you control movement in and out these panels do add another layer of protection against cold drafts during the colder winter months.

Aluminium Framed Insulated Dog Doors

Aluminium is one of the most abundant metals on earth and due to the ease of recycling over 80% of all aluminium mined still exists it's a great choice for a dog door as when fitted it provides a strong long-lasting frame. The insulated aluminium doors come in three sizes but these are not the same as the plastic version. There is no small version sizes start at medium then there is a large both of which are very close to the size of the plastic version and use the same size flaps also in aluminium there is an extra-large insulated dog door.
