Installation Tips

The three-flap construction makes the Extreme Weather model slightly more involved to assemble than a conventional single-flap dog door. Based on our experience assembling this product, the following tips can make installation easier:

• Fit the thin draught excluders into the tunnel before final assembly.
• Check that the lower corner joints correctly locate into the curved section of the bottom tunnel.
• Make sure all tunnel sections sit correctly inside their retaining lugs.
• Allow enough time to correctly adjust the tunnel and flap heights.
• Start by positioning and adjusting the internal centre flap.
• Check that the lower magnets align correctly before tightening everything fully.

Having a second person available during installation can make positioning and adjustment considerably easier.
