19mm Extreme Weather Pet Door Packer for uPVC Panels
This 19mm frame packer is designed for installing compatible aluminium Extreme Weather Pet Doors into thinner uPVC door panels.
Many uPVC doors have relatively thin lower panels. When an Extreme Weather Pet Door is fitted directly into one of these panels, the internal slide-in closing panel can catch on the uPVC door's mid-rail. The packer moves the pet door frame forward, providing additional clearance so the closing panel can slide into position.
Designed for Thin uPVC Door Panels
Each packer adds approximately 19mm of additional depth to the installation.
Typical installations include:
- 20mm uPVC panel + 19mm packer: approximately 39mm total depth
- 24mm uPVC panel + 19mm packer: approximately 43mm total depth
- 28mm uPVC panel + 19mm packer: approximately 47mm total depth
Helps the Closing Panel Clear the Mid-Rail
The main purpose of the packer is to create sufficient clearance between the pet door and the surrounding uPVC door construction.
This is particularly important where the slide-in closing panel would otherwise hit the mid-rail of the uPVC door and prevent it from being fully inserted.

Panels Less Than 18mm Thick
If your door panel is less than approximately 18mm thick, you will normally need to use two packers to provide sufficient additional depth.
Important Compatibility Information
These packers are only designed for the aluminium Extreme Weather Pet Doors.
They are not universal pet door spacers and should not be assumed to fit other PetSafe or Staywell pet doors.
Check the Available Space
Adding a packer increases the overall projection and external dimensions of the installed Extreme Weather Pet Door.
Before ordering, measure your existing door panel and check the available space around the proposed installation, particularly the position of the uPVC mid-rail.
Fixing Bolts
The correct bolt length depends on the thickness of your uPVC panel and whether you are using one or two packers.
For this reason, M8 fixing bolts are not supplied. You will need to obtain suitable M8 bolts of the correct length for your particular installation.
