Staywell 740 Medium Dog Flap with 300mm Wall Tunnel
Install a dog flap through a brick or cavity wall with this Staywell 740 Medium Dog Flap and Wall Tunnel Kit. The kit combines the popular Staywell 740 Medium Pet Door with a purpose-made tunnel liner to provide a neat, enclosed passage through the wall.
The tunnel is supplied approximately 300mm long and can be cut down during installation to suit the actual thickness of your wall.
Designed for Installation Through Walls
Fitting a dog flap through a wall is different from fitting one through a standard door. Without a liner, the opening can leave the internal brickwork, blockwork or cavity exposed.
This kit provides a four-sided tunnel liner that creates a finished passage between the inside and outside of the wall.
300mm Cut-to-Size Wall Tunnel
The tunnel is supplied at approximately 300mm deep. During installation it can be cut down to match the thickness of your particular wall.
This makes the kit suitable for a range of solid brick, block and cavity wall installations up to approximately 300mm deep.

Cut-Out Size
Please check the fitting instructions supplied with the product before cutting your wall opening.
Our current information indicates a cut-out of approximately 281mm x 237mm, but this dimension has not yet been independently confirmed. Do not cut the wall based solely on this measurement.
Wall Installation
A suitable opening needs to be formed through the wall before the tunnel is installed. The tunnel can then be cut to the required depth and fitted through the opening.
Where appropriate, fitting the tunnel with a slight fall towards the outside can help prevent moisture from being directed towards the internal side of the wall.
Once the tunnel is correctly positioned, the surrounding opening can be made good and the pet door frames secured into position.

Important Installation Advice
Installing a dog flap through a wall requires considerably more work than fitting one into a door. Before cutting, check for electrical cables, water pipes, gas pipes and other services that could be concealed within the wall.
If you are uncertain about the construction of the wall or the location of concealed services, we recommend using a suitably experienced installer.

The Staywell 740 is a medium-sized dog door. Consider the installation position carefully, particularly where the opening could potentially provide access to door or window handles, keys or security devices.
The position should also be considered where small children are present.
