Install a dog flap neatly through a solid or cavity wall with our Staywell 760 Large Dog Flap and Wall Tunnel Kit. The kit combines the popular Staywell 760 large white pet door with a purpose-made tunnel liner for a professional through-wall installation.
Installing a dog flap through a wall requires more than simply fitting a standard pet door. The opening through the brickwork or blockwork needs to be lined, which is why this kit includes a four-sided tunnel liner designed to fit between the internal and external sections.
The tunnel is supplied at 300mm long and can be cut down during installation to suit the actual thickness of your wall.
Suitable for Solid & Cavity Walls
The tunnel kit can be used when installing the Staywell 760 through a single-skin brick wall, solid wall or cavity wall. It creates a clean, enclosed passage through the wall and avoids leaving exposed brickwork or cavity material inside the opening.
The 300mm tunnel can be trimmed to suit walls up to approximately 300mm thick.

The kit includes a Staywell 760 Large Pet Door in white. The door also includes an internal slide-in blanking panel that can be fitted when you want to prevent your dog from using the door.

Installation
A correctly sized opening must be formed through the wall. Once the opening has been prepared, the tunnel liner can be cut to the required depth and inserted through the wall.
We recommend installing the tunnel with a slight fall towards the outside. This helps any moisture drain towards the exterior rather than towards the inside of the property.
Once the tunnel is correctly positioned and the surrounding wall has been made good, the pet door frames can be fitted into position.
Installation Materials
Depending on the construction of your wall, you may also require suitable fixings, silicone sealant and making-good materials. The external frame should be properly sealed against the wall to help prevent water ingress.
Important Safety & Security Information
This is a large dog door and the opening may be large enough for a small child to pass through. Consider the position of the door carefully, particularly where it could provide access to roads, gardens, pools or other potentially hazardous areas.
The size of the opening should also be considered from a home security perspective. Do not install the pet door where it could provide easy access to door handles, locks, keys or other security devices.
