How Does the Staywell 932 Magnetic Cat Flap Work?

Your cat wears the supplied magnetic key on its collar. When your cat approaches the door from outside, the magnet operates the locking mechanism inside the tunnel and releases the flap.

Your cat can then push through the door normally. Cats without the correct magnetic collar key cannot operate the selective-entry mechanism.

This gives you an additional level of control over which cats can enter your home without the batteries required by microchip and electronic cat flaps.

• Out Only: Allows outward movement while restricting normal re-entry.

Suitable for Timber Doors

The 932 can also be installed into suitable wooden and timber doors. The required square cut-out is approximately 169 x 169mm.

Can the Staywell 932 Be Fitted into Glass?

Yes. The Staywell 932 is suitable for appropriate glass installations using a circular opening of approximately 210mm diameter.

Do not attempt to cut an existing toughened or double-glazed unit. Where the cat flap is being fitted into a double-glazed door or window, a correctly manufactured replacement sealed unit with the required hole should normally be ordered.

Wall Installation

The Staywell 932 can also be used for suitable wall installations. Wall construction varies considerably, so the opening and tunnel should be properly prepared and finished to prevent moisture entering the wall.

Important – The 60mm Tunnel Cannot Be Shortened

The Staywell 932 incorporates an approximately 60mm deep tunnel containing the magnetic locking mechanism.

This tunnel must not be cut or shortened.

This is particularly important when planning installations into thinner door panels or glass. Check that the tunnel arrangement is suitable for your intended installation before cutting or ordering replacement glass.

Weather-Resistant Transparent Flap
