PetSafe Electronic SmartDoor Large Dog Door
Give your dog controlled access in and out of your home with the PetSafe Electronic SmartDoor Large. This electronic dog door uses a SmartKey worn on your pet's collar to recognise authorised pets and automatically unlock the flap as they approach.
When the SmartDoor detects the unique signal from your pet's SmartKey, the electronic locking mechanism releases the flap. Once your pet has passed through and the key is no longer detected, the door automatically locks again.
This helps prevent stray animals and pets without a programmed SmartKey from using the door.

How the PetSafe Electronic SmartDoor Works
Your dog wears the supplied PetSafe SmartKey on its collar. When your pet approaches the door, the SmartDoor detects the key's unique radio-frequency signal and unlocks the flap.
After your pet passes through and moves away from the door, the SmartKey is no longer detected and the flap automatically locks again.
Programme Up to 5 Pets
The SmartDoor can recognise up to 5 programmed SmartKeys, allowing several pets to use the same electronic door. Additional compatible SmartKeys are available separately.
Operating Modes
In addition to SmartKey-controlled access, the door can be set to different operating modes:
- SmartKey Mode: Allows programmed pets to operate the door
- Locked Mode: Prevents pets from entering or leaving
- Unlocked Mode: Allows pets to enter and leave without using a SmartKey

Installation
The SmartDoor is designed for DIY installation into a suitable door. For thicker installations, compatible extension tunnels may be required.
Always check the dimensions of your pet and the proposed installation position before cutting the opening.
Power Requirements
The PetSafe Electronic SmartDoor operates using 4 D-cell batteries.
