Description
The Staywell microchip door and glass adapter from PetSafe allow the door to be installed into double-glazed units when manufactured by the glass company. This cat flap is self lining with it,s own tunnel to hide the edges of the glass unit. The adapter allows the cat door to be installed into a circular hole with a 275mm - 285mm diameter making the production of the glass unit quicker and more cost-effective.
The hole should be cut to the height of the underside of your cat's tummy. To reduce rubbing when using the door.

Please note - the read range on this unit is 10cm - 12cm - measured from outside of the flap (the material the cat flap is fitted into may reduce this, e.g. metal reinforcing in door frames and door panels. This sometimes means an adapter is also required in a standard UPVC door.)
Fitting Options:
Supplied with a glass adaptor which fits cut-out sizes of 275mm to 285mm with the screws supplied (Can be fitted below 270mm to 212mm but will require glazing tapes and glues, and this may reduce the range of the scanner if metal spacers or foiled sealing tape is used)

This cat flap is compatible with FDX-B (15 Digit) Microchips
*It is impossible to cut holes in toughened glass or double-glazed units except at the time of manufacture. Please get in touch with a glazier.
Without the adapter, It will fit holes of 212mm but will only work with metal-free warm-edge spacer bars. The spacer bar will probably have metal in it that will stop the door from working if you have an existing hole.
