The included adapter fits glass openings between 275mm and 285mm, creating a neat, weatherproof finish while making the manufacture of replacement double glazed units quicker and more cost-effective.

Glass Installation

The supplied adapter is designed for glass cut-outs between 275mm and 285mm in diameter.

For smaller existing openings between 212mm and 270mm, installation may still be possible using glazing tape and specialist adhesives. However, the scanning range may be reduced if the sealed unit contains metal spacer bars or foil-backed warm-edge spacers.

For the best operation, position the hole so the bottom of the flap is approximately level with your cat's stomach.

Important Information

The typical microchip reading distance is approximately 10–12cm from the outside of the flap. Installation into metal or steel-reinforced doors may reduce the reading range.

Existing toughened glass and double glazed sealed units cannot be cut once manufactured. A new glass unit must be produced with the correct hole already cut by your glazier.
