The clear rigid flap allows your pet to see through the door before passing through it, while the white frame provides a neat finish that works particularly well with white uPVC and painted doors.

Removable Internal Closing Panel

The Staywell 740EF includes a removable internal closing panel. Slide the panel into position when you want to prevent your dog or cat from using the pet door.

Supplied Tunnel for Thicker Doors

For installations through substantially thicker panels or walls, a suitable custom tunnel or lining will need to be formed using an appropriate rigid material.

Suitable for Medium Dogs & Larger Cats

With a maximum pet shoulder width of approximately 219mm, the Staywell 740 is designed for medium and smaller dogs and may also be suitable for larger cats.

Always measure your pet before ordering. Breed recommendations are only a guide because dogs of the same breed can vary considerably in size.

Fitting the Staywell 740 Dog Flap

The required cut-out is approximately 281mm x 237mm. Measure carefully and follow the manufacturer's installation instructions before cutting your door.

When installing the tunnel, the opening should be accurately cut so there are no excessive gaps around the pet door. An appropriate sealant can be used around the installation to help provide a neat, weather-resistant finish.

For suitable installations, Stelmax contact adhesive can be used where appropriate, together with neutral-cure silicone for sealing around the pet door and panel.

Can the Staywell 740 Be Fitted into a Composite Door?

Yes, it can be fitted into many composite doors, but the door construction and mouldings need to be considered before cutting.

The removable closing panel slides into the pet door from above, so make sure surrounding door mouldings will not prevent the panel being inserted or removed.

The cut edges of a composite door must also be properly protected and sealed against water ingress. Depending on the construction of the door, a suitable rigid trim or angle can be used around the opening to provide a neat, protected finish.
