The clear rigid flap allows your pet to see through the door before passing through it, while the brown frame works particularly well with timber doors, brown uPVC and other darker door finishes.

The flap is replaceable, so if it becomes scratched, worn or damaged over time, you may be able to repair the dog door without replacing the complete frame.

Removable Internal Closing Panel

Fitting the Staywell 755 Dog Flap

The required cut-out is approximately 281mm x 237mm. Measure carefully and follow the manufacturer's fitting instructions before cutting your door.

The opening should be accurately cut without leaving excessive gaps around the pet door. An appropriate sealant can be used around the installation to provide a neat, weather-resistant finish.

For suitable installations, Stelmax contact adhesive can be used where appropriate on the tunnel, together with neutral-cure silicone for sealing between the pet door tunnel and door panel.

Can the Staywell 755 Be Fitted into a Composite Door?

The Staywell 755 can be fitted into many suitable composite doors, but the construction and mouldings of the door must be considered before cutting.

The removable internal closing panel is inserted from above, so sufficient clearance must be left around the top of the pet door to allow the panel to be fitted and removed.

Cut edges through a composite door should also be properly protected and sealed against water ingress.

Replacement Flap for the Staywell 755

If you already own a Staywell 755 and the flap has become cracked, scratched or damaged, you may not need to replace the complete dog door.

Important Security Information

A dog flap is designed to control your pet's access and should not be considered a security device against people. Consider the position of the pet door in relation to door handles, keys and other locking mechanisms.

The opening is also large enough for some small children to pass through, so young children should be supervised around the pet door.
