Suitable glass fitting cat flap in glass existing openings need to be between 212 mm to 285 mm in diameter or a new hole can be cut to suit. This is the latest door from PetSafe it replaces the old Staywell cat flap for glass door the Staywell 300 deluxe models.
Description
The latest PetSafe manual cat door and glass adapter allows a standard simple door to be installed in to double glazed units when they are manufactured by the glass company.
Self lining with it,s own tunnel to hide the edges of the glass unit.
The adapter allows the cat door to be installed into a circular hole with a 275mm - 285mm diameter making the production on the glass unit quicker and more cost-effective.
The hole should be where possible cut to the height of the underside of your cat's tummy. to reduce rubbing when using the door.

Fitting Options:
Supplied with a glass adaptor which fits cut out sizes of 275mm to 285mm with the screws supplied (Can be fitted below 270mm to 212mm but will require glazing tapes and glues.

We have left the fixing holes exposed so you can see them but the door does come with covers to hide them.

Can you put a cat flap in a glass door?
Yes, you can but it needs to done either by ordering a pre-cut double glazed unit or by employing a cat flap fitter.
*It is not possible to cut holes in toughened glass or double glazed units except at the time of manufacture. Please contact a glazier.
