How does It work?

The PetSafe® Spray Bark Collar effectively deters nuisance barking when it is worn. The sound and vibration of your dog’s bark trigger the sensor, emitting a spray burst.

The collar works well with both unscented or citronella spray. Citronella is a unique scent that most dogs do not normally encounter. Both spray options are safe and distract your dog and interrupt unwanted behaviour. The citronella spray seems more practical.

Operating Guide

At the first spray, your dog's natural curiosity will be to seek the origin of the new odour. The dog will quickly learn that the collar sprays when he or she barks! Through this harmless conditioned reflex, spray discourages your dog from barking. In a few days, the dog learns to keep quiet while wearing the collar and concentrates on more normal activities. No more trouble with the neighbours! The Anti-Bark Collar, a self-sufficient product, requires no human intervention; it will work even if you are not there. Should you want to reverse the effects of the Petsafe spray collar, stop using the device. Ultimately, the animal can be trained to cease barking without wearing the device. The Odourless Collar is widely recognised as an efficient solution to nuisance barking.

This product is not suitable for puppies or dogs under six months old.

Necessary: Do not leave your dog alone the first few times he wears the Bark Control Collar.

Before playing with your dog, remove the Bark Control Collar from your dog and turn it OFF (O). The activity may cause your dog to bark, which could lead to him associating the play with the burst of spray.

Caution: The Bark Control Collar should not be worn for more than 12 hours to every 24 hours. Leaving the Bark Control Collar on too long could lead to skin irritation.

Warning: Not for use with aggressive dogs. Do not use this product if your dog is aggressive or if your dog is prone to aggressive behaviour. Aggressive dogs can cause severe injury and even death to their owner and others. If you are unsure whether this product is appropriate for your dog, please consult your veterinarian or a certified trainer.
